Pizza and a dough recipe

with babe strapped on,
and risen dough in the bread maker,

we will turn this mess into....

 PEETSA!

write the word pizza over and over and it seems wierd and wrong.

any word really!

yum :0)

I've decided to make it once per week for at least 5 reasons:

1 - kid likes it
2 - I like it
3 - man likes it
4 - healthy (with homemade dough and sauce, good toppings)
5- then I don't have to decide what to make, at least ONE night per week!
6- its great to take in lunches the next day.

our dough recipe:

for breadmaker, add in order given:

1 3/4 cups water
1 tbsp sea salt
2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp honey
4 cups flour of choice ( i use a blend of buckwheat, 7 grain and unbleached organic white)
1 tbsp oregano
4 tsp yeast

of course you can make this with no breadmaker too!!
let rise for 30 mins to 1 hour, punch down, shape into pizza pans, let rise 20 mins, add toppings, bake @ 400 till top is melty and a tad browned.

topping ideas:
- pineapples MUST be on every pizza in my opinion.
- black beans
- roasted veggies: broccoli, zucchini, ...
- spinach n feta
- what else??

Do you have any unusual or interesting pizza toppings?

Twinflower shop opening and a GIVEAWAY!!!

Well my peeps - SHOP'S OPEN!!  Yay!

Actually, it has been for a while...
I haven't had a long enough uninterrupted moment to get it up here yet.

and to celebrate, a giveaway!

This is where it all began...  two years ago. my first batch of soap!

I made coffee cinnamon and lemon poppy seed.

I was hooked.

and it evolved...

and keeps evolving of course!

 the salves

I got a herb making kit from Mountain Rose Herbs and made a calendula salve!
It was beautyful and oh so helpful for dry, cracked or otherwise damaged skin.
So I put my own swing on it.

I recently made one expecially for babies bums and bodies.

My latest experiment was Creams.

Due to the horribly toxic ingredients in most face creams,
I had been using my calendula salve on my face!
It was a little greasy - hard to apply because you need so little.
So I made a face cream!  Using Grapeseed oil which is the lesser greasy of the oils.
and Calendula infused of course.

To my astonishment, it turned out GREAT!!

I use it everyday,
and am getting Great feedback from people who are trying it.

Can you tell I LOVE calendula??

Its amazing for the skin, as tea and a really colorful addition to the garden.
I grow some of what I use, hopefully next year I will be completely self sufficient with calendula.

SO - this is the kind of thing you will see in the Twinflower Creations shop:

The winner of the giveaway will receive this:

two soaps - calendula milk and lavender Rose garden and a minty calendula lip balm!
