Xavier Rudd -Food in the Belly

food in the belly

today i traded a full bag of groceries in for an empty cloth CBC bag.

it was a rewarding trade although i ended up with less...

It was for the food bank, which i truly think is a worth cause. My main concern is the little ones who look in their cupboards for something to eat and find half a container of bread crumbs, a can of cranberries and nothing else.
While the parent(s) spend all the time and money they have on their addictions... or whatever the reason may be

I do feel for those with the addictions. I think they are self-medicating because the system we have to deal with mental illness doesn't seem to really work. and i feel lucky that although i don't have much money, I have food in my belly every day. nutritious food. and I also have love.

the song "food in the belly" by Xavier Rudd says it well!
(I posted that video separately)

we went to see him last night!
it was great

we bought some baby banz headphones and took our 4 month old daughter! at the beginning, we wondered if it would work, cuz she didnt want to wear her headphones, but thankfully she happily wore them once the music and lights started! she was so interested it all the stimulation that she didnt even notice a tight pair of hearing protections.
here she is with em on!
haha...

introduktshon

i am erin.

I have a daughter named Atlin Dorothy
here she is with her dad and my love, Steve:

This is the house that we three live in for now:

its right near the river which was my one prerequisite when we were looking for a house here.
the river is called the South Saskatchewan.
it meets up with the north sask river and flows into Manitoba
someday soon we will canoe down it.

our last house looked like this:
thats my dad there. he was visiting us in the Yukon where this house is located. It had a wood cook stove! which I just loved to cook on during the cold or rainy days.
its a dwelling with walls who have stories.

chop wood, listen to fire, carry water, go to sleep when it gets dark or try to read by lantern light.

oh ya, we have 2 doggies,
they are senior citizens.
freedom and rio:
one's a train hopper from Georgia and the other came from a fisherman on Vancouver island
