~ Gratitude Sunday ~

{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

If you would like to join us, share your gratitudes by leaving your link (or simply sharing your list, whether one or many) in the comments below for all of us to enjoy.
Our gratefulness feeds one another.

There is a lot to be Grateful for these summer days.

Here's my list:

~ firstly i am grateful for these dark, voluptuous, beautyful, eggplants growing in my garden! (pictured above)

~ the ability to grow food, how the process nourishes my body and soul.
All the teachers I've learned the gardening arts from
(bless you my "Greenwood Gramma!")
and most importantly - the WANT to grow food! without that, there'd be no garden.

~ Finding out how absolutely grand chocolate mint is in smoothies!! I won't be making many without it from now on.

~ I am grateful for having enough. Also for knowing how to get by on very little. Which we've been doing for the last few months with no income. I am glad we are coming out of that problem.

~ So grateful (again) for my supportive partner, and loving father to my baby girl. It is just really awesome that we are both happy with our situation of him working and me staying home with the kiddo. He works hard for us and I feel blessed.

~ Attie is really grateful that her daddy likes playing in the park nearly as much as she does!

~ for the song Home, by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. In a world where it is hard to know where to be, its great to know that I have found a permanent home!

~ I am grateful that YOU are reading this post even though I have nearly abandoned my blog!! (sorry bout that, i assure you I will be back in the fall time - full force!)

~ very grateful for all the family and friends who are contributing a beautyful sewing project which I can't say too much about - a certain someone might be reading this!!

~ I am grateful for the abundance of berries in my freezer right now! and for the U-pick near here from which we will pick mass amounts of saskatoon berries this week.

~ FESTIVALS!!

(Ness Creek folk festival)

music bringing people together,
the celebration of children, art and diversity,
the fellowship of friends and like minded people,
the sharing of progressive ideas,
the inspiration that comes with it all...

~ kids dancing at festivals!

(regina Folk festival)

~ Dogs. Freedom and Rio to be specific. Their ability to love you (and your food offerings) unconditionally, and the protection they provide.
Making me feel so much safer just by their presence.
Grateful that they still love us even tho we leave them at home all the time!

~ VERY grateful for the caring dog sitter friends I have!

~ for having found some really good books to read after a long while with no reading. I've missed the secret friends in hidden worlds that encounter in books!

~ The friends that influence little Attie. I watch her stare in amazement at how the older kids do stuff and immediately trying to copy!! so dang cute.

~ every time we come home from a trip (today for instance) , i am so grateful that we have this house to come home to, our comfy nest.

~ the smell of my home made soap!

~ that I have started running again. the way I feel after is amazing.
fully relieves stress and builds confidence.

~ I am fully grateful for each day my mother is on this earth.
